I-Sense

With the I-Sense technology for A. Eberle's fixed installed power quality analysers PQI-DE and PQI-DA smart, you can add up to 16 circuits for feeder current measurement.

At a glance

  • Economical and reliable - three- or four-phase systems with up to 16 feeders
  • Compatible with PQI-DE and PQI-DA smart
  • Easy to install and integrate on site using supplied Rogowski coils
  • IT security measures, including encrypted data transmission and protection against unauthorised access

The PQI-DA smart is a high-specification PQ device perfect for measuring network power quality at grid connection points. However, with its 3000+ measurements and Class A performance, its price point does not sit well for monitoring lots of feeders. Therefore customers have used multiple manufacturers’ devices meaning different software and data sets for MV and HV data. The I-Sense changes that, adding additional cost-effective external current channels to the PQI-DA smart. These current measuring sensors allow the feeder current to be monitored, in turn allowing your WinPQ data set to show for example, the full PQ profile on an incomer and the load split on the feeders.

The I-Sense has permanently connected Rogowski clamps for ease of installation. Two versions are available, a three-sensor (L1, L2, L3) and a four-sensor version (L1, L2, L3, N). Connection is simple. A24 Vdc power supply is provided to the injector cable that plugs between the PQI-DA smart and the first I-Sense device, then additional I-Sense devices can be connected via a daisy-chain of RJ-45 Cat 5 cables. Up to 16 I-Sense devices can be connected to one PQI-DA smart

The PQI-DA smart must be licensed with option P3 (Modbus Master) to allow it to gather and store the data from the I-Sense devices. WinPQ software supports this additional data, automatically bringing it back to its database.
