To train new entrants to the power industry and maintain skills of other technicians and engineers, HV Power is holding a one day training course on the operation of Siemens SIPROTEC relays and the use of DIGSI 4 software.

The course is aimed at an introductory level. At the completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

• Initialize and configure a SIPROTEC relay using a setting file
• Understand the use of the input/output matrix
• View CFC function logic
• Use all the DIGSI commissioning support tools
• Download fault records
• Setup the DNP 3.0 SCADA interface to a SIPROTEC relay

The course fee is $550+GST.

All participants will receive an information pack with hard and soft copies of the training material. For participants from organizations that already have a DIGSI software license, the latest version of this software will be available for installation on their laptop computers. Successful completion of the course will be confirmed with a certificate.

Morning, afternoon tea and lunch will be provided.

The training is intended for protective relay engineers, designers and technicians from electric utilities, their consultants and contractors involved in the programming, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of Siemens SIPROTEC Protection Relays.
